The curve and detail in the horn makes this one Todd. Not so sure about the blurred FG?

Thanks Marc, foreground was a snow bank, not much that could be done with it. Liked the over shoulder look.

Hi Todd, yes different from recent postings.
I would try to blend the BG more especially as there seems to be a 'white' hotspot to the left of the head. Might also have another try with curves as I think it needs a tad more 'punch';)
At 1/4000 I think the ISO could have dropped but guess that's your default setting?:)

Nice image. I agree with Steve regarding the background and the ISO. Some more light on the eyes would have been great as well. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Todd , sorry I just could not help myself , lovely image , I just thought there was tooo many distractions in FG and BKG.
Interesting treatment of the image.. The B&W works well. Don't mind the 1st version. Face of the ram seemed a bit dark.
Thanks for the comments. Peter your repost pushes to the extreme, don't normally go that far but you have shown the effect well. Will look at the extreme more often with my artistic conversions in the future. Thanks for the nice reminder.

The BW works really well with this ram. The second version really gives it a artistic look.
lovely composition and perspective here. I think Peter's repost rocks!
Todd, you certainly captured great sharp detail on the head and horns. On my monitor, a tad more exposure on the head, and would leave the rest as is.
That gaze over the shoulder really makes this image ... along with the fine details in the head.
I like the sense of habitat in the background but find the transitions between light and dark areas
just a little distracting. I would tone that down some, leaving just a hint of what's there now,
and selectively enhance the head a little. Very fine capture!

Works for me. I like David's cleanup of the BG. Also like Peter's approach.
Thanks for the comments and reposts everyone. Much appreciated.
