I know, it's the swallow again. But thank you for putting up with me. I've tried to get something exotic but so far no luck :o
I was just informed today that a barn swallow was sighted over a local pond. I didn't know they would be here so soon.
As for this photo, it was taken last September with a D300 and the lowly Nikon 70-300f4.5-5.6 VRII lens hand-held. Cropped. Don't have the EXIF info now.
On that same day also photo'ed a female tree swallow (in flight), too. Seems like they left late last year and came back early this year. Something to do with the weather?

Hi Desmond,
I like the flight angle and capture...you have good feather details, a good head angle and sharp eye. The only thing that I would do is to tone down the whites in the water...aside from this, good show...looking forward to your next one...
Like this a lot Desmond - Will have to dig one out for you.
Here in OZ at least - they tend to land on the same perch over and over so makes it easy to get setup were you know they will return.
Like the pose - Good HA and SHARP!!!
Good show :)
