Does anyone have any suggestions of places that might provide good opportunities in the north east Florida area in mid to late March ? Around St Augustine (other than the alligator farm) ??? Thanks
Gary, unfortunately NE FL doesn't have many opportunities. It's amazing the difference a 2 hour drive can get you, ie Melbourne or Orlando. Of course the Alligator farm is the best spot around here if that's your thing, if not, I don't really have any suggestions. However, this is my first year birding, and I do plan on exploring the Jacksonville area (where I live) more for birding opportunities. Feel free to ping me as you get closer to your trip date.
I did have some luck in the Okefenokee swamp last year in January. Haven't been up there yet this year, but by the time you come down, I may have been there once or twice.
