Portable DVD for monitoring the camera

Who's using a portable DVD to monitor the camera?
What type of DVD?
I have a Sony DVP-FX720, but I can't put it working with my Nikons.

I have a DVP-FX820 that I've hooked up to my Canon 7D. I had to set the switch on the side of the DVD player to "in" for it to work with camera in live view mode.
