    Default Frost2

    40D, EF 100mm F2.8 Macro
    F/13
    1/250sec
    ISO 400
BG is snow in shadow. Slightly cropped from left and bottom, cloned out oof ice tip low left, curves, sharpening. Probably some quality loss due compresion.
    Any suggestions are welcome.

What an amazing ice structure
I think the exposure is excellent , and you've managed to capture a great bit of the detail.
If I tried anything, it might be to see what happens if you darken the bg? Or maybe vinetting ever so slightly. I think the more the ice structure pops out by itself, the stronger the image.
    Very well done !!!

that is an amazing structure!! and you did well capturing it. i like the detail in it, even in the small jpeg. were you able to move around to the left and get the main structure parallel with the image sensor? might have been even stronger.

Beautiful details. I masked the background and darkened that a little, and applied just a touch of Topaz Detail to the ice crystals. Very nice capture!
