This majestic fellow was going for his Saturday morning swim in his back yard watering hole at Crandon Gardens. He was painted with a Nikon D70s, Nikkor 300mm f/4D, focal length 420mm using a 1.4 T/C, aperture priority, matrix metering, ISO 400 @ 1/3200 sec - f/5.6, exposure comp. 0EV, and WB set on auto.
Comments greatly appreciated.
Hi Gus You got a good one here Proud of you !!!! Good exposure Great head position and well placed in frame !!! Exp is not easy here because of the light bird and darkish water !!!
About the only thing I can see is a slight color cast No clue how it came on? Did correction and will be posting below btw we have one more workshop this next weekend maybe we can get together at another weekend !!! Will be a treat !!!
btw did only the color correction No other enhancement of any kind It is a good looking image !!!
Hey Gus, very nice work. I like Alfred's removal of the yellowish tint to the feathers. The concentric ripples around the bird are very nice in that beautiful blue water. You are finding some fine subjects at Crandon!
