Default April trip - Florida east coast

I'm in process of planning a trip from Merritt Island down to Delray Beach. I am unfamiliar with what birds to target at this time, breeding and migrating. I'd like to visit good places besides my normal Viera, Wako, green Cay, and Hutchinson island beaches.

Are all the northern breeding ducks departed by this time?

Is there any place on the east coast (as in west's Fort Desoto) good for northerly migrating shorebirds?

Any specific places to look for seaside saprrow?

    Thanks

Check with me In April for Swallowtail Kites in the Palm Bay Area. Unless things change ,I know where 6 or 7 of them hang out. Layton

I'd love to get in on that action as well. I've only seen a few in our area and I'm not that far north of you.
