Brilliant, the comp is great but the frame idea on a high-key image is very interesting.

Fabs: the image is a masterpiece, one of your best IMO. The frame idea has a problem. I wouldn't remove it, but in addition place a 1 pixel black border around the whole image. The problem with high key images is that without such a border the image tends to merge with a light web page background color. Not a tremendous problem here, but especially with white backgrounds. regards~Bill

What a stunning shot! The neck angles and "beak to beak" make for a magnificent pose. I love the high key.

Interaction, sharpness, exposure control and details look very good. What I find a bit distracting is that the pieces of the neck outside the frame are not direct extensions.

Fabs, I really like the eye contact and interaction. I think you were very successful in creating a unique image of these birds. The high-key BG and the way you chose to frame it is perfect. I love it!
I do see what Axel is referring to but it only looks like that one little piece. Sounds like you guys are having a blast!:)

It is very nice, Fabs. Love the high key as well and the interaction is great. I like the frame, apart from the fact that there seems to be a shift to the left with the parts under the frame. Well done.

Wonderful interaction that looks great in high key! The eye contact with both birds is terrific. I never would have thought to use a frame that's smaller than the image, but it works well for me.

I just don't know how you catch these moments, Fabs, but you seem to have an uncanny knack for it.

The rule works nicely but seems a tad heavy to my eye. I would make it more like a hairline rule .. and maybe even pick up one of the colors from the image.

    Beautiful work!

Fabulous, Fabs! I really enjoy this image. Great interaction--marvelous dof. I like the frame--and I agree with David's approach--maybe just a tad darker on his line.

Everything in this image are really great! Fascinating!!
I just can't understand how you get long DOF when using 600mm with only f6.3??
    It's amazing to me.

I realy love the high key here and the Interaction. beautiful work.
Regarding the frame, I think David's suggestion looks better, bit I would prefer it with no frame.

An exquisite image Fabs. I love the interaction and like your original frame, albeit a little thinner would work better IMHO. Such a kick- a s s image. :)
