Canon 50D EF500 f4 L IS ISO 320 -1/3 1/400 sec f4 taken from a hide, seed used as bait.
This Great Tit was rather nervous, I think a sparrowhawk had been patrolling the area.
I have done a little cloning and patching to tidy up a few sharp twigs, one of which bisected the tail. Although non of the image was over exposed I felt the white cheek patch was a little bright so I did two layers and using a mask I left a darker white area which I think blends in a little better.
(I couldn't figure out how to do the reduction in light that Artie did on the recent penguin image).
All comments welcome - don't spare my feelings I want to improve!!:)
Beautiful singing pose. I think the head/beak is a bit soft. Perhaps some selective sharpening might help. If you chose that perch , it was a good find.
Beautiful signing pose. The white cheek looks too gray from here. I wish that the head were turned away from us just a bit more. The face looks sharp enough but a bit of selective sharpening would surely help. All in all, well done.
