    Default Learning from using the new Canon 1 D mark 1V

    I have just received my new Canon 1 D mark 1V and is very happy.Any tips and expirence with this camera ?

    I like the camera, too. I turned off Auto Lighting Optimizer, it made quite a difference: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=54278

    thnks much appreciated.Why are the focus point jumping around on the subject to be photographed when button is pushed halfway down to get focus?

    Probably because you have all 45 points enabled. For birds you could select the central sensor only or central plus surrounding points.

    I read the entire Mark IV white paper. In a nutshell, it says that if you know your exposure then either disable the auto lighting optimizer or set it to low (even when you are shooting raw).
