This image of a Great Blue Heron was taken at Merritt Island NWR. The toning color was copied from a WWII service portrait of my mother-in-law, when she served in the Navy WAVES, adding a little authenticity to the aging process. :D

Modifications included; B&W w/Color Adjustment, Film Grain, Toning, Variations, Levels and Frosted Glass.

    Enjoy!

The age really shows on this one. I like the idea of using authentic color tones. Nice composition. The stick just outside of the corner group pulls my eye a bit.

I really like that you used an authentic tone for this - that's such a great thought. We should all scan some old images and create a color swatch board of authentic tones!

I like the comp and colors here. I think you could add even more authenticity with a crumpled paper type texture overlay to really mark up that bird a bit more.

Mark, I really like the toning on this one. When you stand several feet away from the computer it is very
    three dimensional.:)

Unfortunately, I can't get several feet away from the computer in this room!  ;) So I will just have to trust your vision! :D
