Very interesting pose. Loved the BG. An awesome duck.....hope to see it one day. Only suggestion is to make the dark areas a little darker to get a tad more contrast pop.

    Michael,
Very nice -- wing and head position really convey action. The bg is just the right amount of blur to give a feel for the setting, and sharpness looks great. Thanks for sharing.

I like the sharpness, eye contact and action a lot. You managed the sidelight really well. maybe it is just my monitor but I think that the image is a bit on the cold side of the spectrum, Regarding the composition, I think that more room at the left and at the bottom would be great in order to match the action of landing and flight direction (from right to left)

I like the landing pose, wing position and underwing details and wish the bird's left wing wouldn't cast a shadow on the body.

Hey Michael. Great getting to know you the other day! Nice incoming pose; I like the good view of the long tail and the water droplets. You handled the side lighting quite well. Exposure looks fine. I would place the bird a little higher in the frame like Juan suggested.

I was there yesterday afternoon for an hour on my way to Florida. The ducks were not flying for me - so I would be very happy with this shot.

The light was very harsh. I wonder if you used shadow/highlights on this image. If so, I would use selective color to darken the midtones as much as possible without losing wing detail.
