Hi Ram, you have a beautiful subject here, and you've made a very sharp image. There are few things that I'd wish were different if this image were mine. I'd like to see the entire tail in the frame. If possible, I would have moved further to the left to try to remove the branch in the left hand side of the frame (some might recommend cloning the branch out). I also think that the image would be improved if your subject's head was more toward you, making a connection with me as the viewer.

Ram, agree with what Blake has suggested. But if there was no way for you to move back or sideways, then another thing to try would be a vertical frame...but the bird's head would have to be turned towards you to make it work. Sharpness, focus and DOF are excellent. And please make sure you specify the equipment used. Thanks for sharing.

The soft light and sharpness look very good. If it is not full frame, I could also see it as vertical crop. Moving to the left would have helped if that was an option.

Tiziano wellcome on board:) Please, do not forget to let us know which aspects of an image do you like and which ones you think that could be improved (http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=25608) ;)

Ram, beautifull bird species. Superb details and nice light. The dark out of focus stuff in the background is a bit distracting. I am wondering if you are shooting with a fixed focal lenght or with a zoom because I miss the tip of the bird´s tail. The intense stare of the bee eater and the balance between the red in the eye and the greens is just killer and I like it a lot

I was pretty close to the subject as i mentioned earlier so could not get the tail in the frame the image is almost 75% of the original . Juan i could have zoomed out but i had no time for that or else i would have lost the bird from the frame . Kaustubh the equipment is canon 350D and 100-400 IS lens in future i will always remember to mention that . Thanks Everybody for the comments.

Well exposed colours, and overall nice and sharp. I wish for a slightly better HA towards you, and agree a vertical would work. It would rid you of the OOF trees on the left.

Nice shot of a lovely bird. Lovely soft light and exposure looks spot on. Few nits as mentioned above. Might also have tried to clean up the bill a bit...
