Good HA and a really nice BG and separation.

The lower left is a bit distracting but not too much you could do about that. You might try a slightly tighter crop from the bottom to minimize it - maybe about a quarter the way up on that branch.

Very nice image with clean bg. The large limb does tend to overwhelm the bird, and cropping as Mark has suggested will help the balance. I would also darken the brighter areas along the right side.

Great bird and great job of maintaining the dark feather detail w/o blowing out the highlights.

I also agree about the limb. It's such a strong diagonal element that cropping a good chunk off won't hurt at all and will help. It's nice that a good bit of the white tale showed through, rather than being totally blocked by the big limb, as so often happens.

Excellent suggestions !! Might try selecting the whites on the head, making a layer and duplicating. I think it will bring some texture !!!! ..got a keeper eagle !!! Like it a lot !!

Yes, all excellent suggestions. Thank you very much.

Alfred said, "Might try selecting the whites on the head, making a layer and duplicating. I think it will bring some texture !!!!" John says, "I would if I knew how."

David said, "The large limb does tend to overwhelm the bird,". John says, "Yes, I agree. I'll speak to the bird about his choice of perches the next time I see him.":D

Rather then a smaller limb, why don't you get a bigger bird or enlarge the one you have.LOL
