    Hi Peter,

I like this image. Is the yellow cast what the light looked like? If not, I still think it looks creative like this, makes it look sizzling hot. His stare is very alert - like on the lookout for prey. The couple of out of focus grasses going up into the face are distracting especially the one near the eye. If you are not adverse to this, you could carefully clone out that grass.

    Thanks for posting.

    indeed a lovely mood well-captured.
i too find a distinct yellow cast but if that's how the lighting was, then its ok.

    TFS.

Peter I agree with the previous comments and know the Kalahari well. This image has been worrying me. I feel it is possibly too yellow and have adjusted the colours slightly in selective colour by reducing the yellow in yellow and adding a little black in neutral (to give it a little more depth and punch). I have also given it slightly more contrast but have not worked on the cloning (which I agree would also enhance the image). Do you have any images of the brown hyena in the Kalahari to show us?

Here is the image - it didn't go through last time because the border took it over 800. It is more yellow here than on my monitor and could still possible do with a little less yellow.

thanks David, as i said in earlier comment...i went bit to far with sarturation/hue ...but i like what you have done...so thanks ....still think a bit less yellow would work... and the kalahari is my favorite destination.....and i am regular visitor.... so have a few images of brown hyena and other predators will gladly share,,as long as you guys keep helping me with my PS......:):)

The revision has more yellow here than I had in PS on my monitor Peter, but as you reduce the yellow an unpleasant hue of magenta starts to dominate. I didn't try adjusting the hue and will try that later. BTW I loved your leopard image - where exactly in the Kalahari was it taken?

Later: Adjusting the hue unfortunately didn't help. I am somewhat limited without the RAW image. . . .
