    Default No decent light Cardinal

We have been covered in fog, rain, and clouds for about 2 weeks now. No decent light to work with for the most part. Trying to improve my skills in bad light so I have been shooting alot in it lately.

    D300s, 600VR, 1.4tc, f/6.3, ISO 1600, 1/200th SS, +.7EV comp

Removed a twig protruding from the side of the frame. Hope you enjoyed...and as always C&C welcome.

I like the pose, sharpness and the lovely soft colors.
Very impressive ISO 1600 performance or has some noise reduction been applied?

Leo, slight noise reduction was applied to the background and in the shadow area underneath the tail. None was applied to the subject anywhere else. Thanks...

I hear ya about the weather lately - all I can do is "make lemonade"!

This is a really nice sharp and well posed shot though! Nice even exposure and the BG is not bad at all!

I think that the soft light and muted background allows her subtle beauty to dominate the image. Nicely executed.

I like it! Especially the beak and eye. Love the clean BG.
