Griz cub from Yellowstone a few summers ago. Light was a little harsh. Looking at some older files, wishing I had my current gear back then. Good reason to go back :).

It's funny Todd, my back then was the late 70's/early 80's and on, I was using an Oly OM-1, then Minolta X700.:D
But I do know what you mean...............ah.....if only.
Lovely pose on this cub, and the light is not too bad really, less DOF may have also suit here.

Nice inquisitive look. I would have tried for a higher depth of field by increasing the ISO. The vegetation was close to the bear, so a wider aperture would not have blurred the background. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys. Marc, I here what you are saying. I started about the same time with a Yashica FX3 (totally manual) and good old K64!
    Thanks again.

Great enviromental shot Todd, and love the stance on the little guy, together with his inquisitive stare. Well captured.

I hope the mom was not close by! Lovely image and I can only echo Stu with regard to the habitat and pose.:)

Mom was actually very close by as well as this ones sibling. Got many images of the trio, some from way too close (70mm end of lens was too much lens). Thanks again.
