James...a cracker of a shot. I like the panning feel in the BG...gives a sense of speed. But I guess you did not pan as the SS is quite high. Wonderful eye-contact, exposure, sharpness and wing position.

James I really like this, the wing posture works well for me and the exposure and colour looks perfect. I would have just added some canvas in front of the bird as the composition is a bit to central for me! Congrats though on a marvelous capture!

Fabulous wing position. Love the blue wing coverts on that far wing. The body feathers look a tad sharper than the eye but the eye looks sharp enough. Wish only that the head was fully molting. The world of flight photography belongs to the young and the quick, those with fast reflexes. I miss a ton of opps due to operator error--I just cannot keep the sensor on the bird the way that I used to :)

I like the soft light, wing position, eye contact and BG and would only desaturate the foot a few points.

James, I like the angle of flight, and this guy is fairly colourful, especially around the head. Congrats on a great capture.

Jim - What a pig this one is - check out that neck! The detail on the far wing really came through perfectly and I like the horizontal motion blur in the bokeh. Great shot overall as well.

Excellent work Jim, now that it's mentioned, the neck is huge man! The droplets of water really add to this. :)

Another beauty, Jim! Caught him right at eye level and just as he was pulling up alongside you. Wonderful color and detail. I might have taken a tad off the right and added a tad to the left, but otherwise spectacular.

So well captured, a very tack sharp flight shot!
    The eye is stunning!
I would personally added a bit more room in front of the Northern shoveler.

Nice flight position, James. I like the way the colors show so well in the neck area.

Another stunner! Love it all, but especially the eye contact, the bird is so focused on your lens! Thanks for sharing.
