    Default Dalmatian Pelican

Dalmatian Pelican fishing in Lake Kerkini, N Greece. Taken at sunset with Canon 7D, EF 400 mm f5,6, ISO 400, 1/2000 sec, f8. Minor crop for leveling.

    Svetoslav:

An impressive bird with nice display of his primaries. Good timing.
    Several things to consider:
The sun angle was well off to your left, which left the near wing in deep shadow. I think you might be able to bring up the shadows some.

The head is turned a bit away from the sensor plane, a couple of degrees towards it is generally ideal.

When possible, its nice if the head doesn't merge with the wing.

    Thanks for sharing.

Sharpness and wing position look good. I find the crop a bit tight and wish the head were angled toward you and the sun in your back.
