    Took this shot in paddy fields with natural BG .
    Shutter speed 1/500
    Aperture F/5.6
    ISO 400
    Hand held
    Camera body Canon 350 D
    lens 100-400 IS

    I like the pose and soft light. I would put the bird further to the right in the frame and crop a bit off the top. You could also desaturate the BG a few points, sharpen the bird more and remove the whitewash on the perch.

    Axel how about this repost i have made all changes except the cloning of the white wash . Is is not white wash actually its the algae formed in monsoons on the perch. Hope you like it

    This one i have reduced the saturation in the BG .

    Ram, your repost does look better, and I can see this as a vertical too. The head and eye still seem a little soft, so some selective sharpening should work. The focus looks like it was on the perch.

    The reost looks better Ram I do think it needs some more selective sharpening.
