This 'already white' rose was converted with Nik SilverEfex Pro. My goal was to create a very soft white-on-white look. A very gentle vignette blur was also applied.

Barbara, White is my favorite color and this is just fantastic. Soft and simple. I could see this as a very large print!

Beautiful image. I also love the white on white, and the composition couldn't be better, imho.

    Nice image and application Barbara.

One thing that I think would really make it pop would be a black matte. It would bring out the subtle contrast of the image. But...

    Your image ... your vision.

Lovely image, Barbara. Very simple and elegant. The only thing I might change would be to have a little more room at the top so that the petal there isn't cut off.

Hi Barbara, lovely image and very nice use of high-key! You did an excellent job of having the flower almost, but not quite, blending with the background.

Thank you Akos, Patti, Denise, Dave, Mark, Christopher, and Kerry. Kerry, the background is actually the flower due to the fact that I'm in really close, and I just increased the exposure in ACR to give a more 'overexposed' appearance. Roses are sometimes difficult to photograph and this one had just the lines and curves I like. I appreciate all your feedback and ideas!

Gorgeous, Barbara! I also would like to see that top petal all in the frame but it is really exceptional as is. I wonder what a very think silver rim around the image would look like?

That sounds cool, Jules. Are you thinking a 'stroke' like border? Also, the image looks a bit different here on this site than on my screen. Less of the vignette seems to be present so there's some 'edge' issues. Is that normal? I see more of the vignette on my screen. Do the uploads here sharpen an image? Also, I didn't crop the image and my philosophy is to cut something off decisively or include it all, just don't clip. The function of the vignette was to provide a gradual fade out to the frame. So, it did present here a little less than I had hoped. Feedback welcome.
