As promised...here is a toned down version of the elephant shot I posted earlier.
This is especially for my friend Ken Watkins. :D

My favorite of the versions you've posted so far. Have you considered cloning out the broken branch in the foreground?
thanks Ignacio. I have considered it but just haven't felt like doing it yet :)
I feel this is more reflective of the setting Morkel and IMHO realistic(?)
BTW Could I have a version too please?:D:D:D One without the 'sticks' in front of the elephants trunk.
Steve;)

Steve since you asked so nicely ;)
I do still like the B&W first, then the original vivid one, then this one - the scene was a bit more vivid to my eye than the camera could capture in the dull light. ;)
It now ticks the boxes for me, thank you. ;););)

Both presentations are powerful images. I like the leg forward and curled trunk pose. The image with the stick in front is certainly more real.
Morkel,
Thanks I prefer it, I think sometimes there is such a thing as too much colour. Sorry for the delay in responding, I think our webserver is running really slow!
thanks Steve, Ed & Ken...
Very well done, I am with you as I prefer the b/w image first but like this for the color version. As far as the stick cloning, It doesn't matter to me. We certainly would not know it wasn't there if we had not seen the original. I too have been frustrated with the speed of the forums and have not been posting. TFS

Sure like the color version, just has a great overall feel !!!
..... Ken the web people are working on the slowdown, does not seem to happen all the time and are having a tough time, sure they can fix it soon !!!
