This large bull moose and his female companion were photographed in Grand Teton National Park during the fall rut. He is one of the largest bulls that I have photographed.

Best of the bunch Louis.
Would like a bit more at the foot, for the 'virtual' legs, plus a tad more sharpening please.:)

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Thanks for the comments. The photo was not cropped so the virtual legs were not there. I will just have to be aware of this when I compose. Your comments on sharpening please. My original image is always sharp, however when I size it for posting, it looses its sharpness. Do I have to oversharpen to help the final image?
I sharpened the image more and reposted it
When ever you resize for web you are throwing away pixels. Therefore you will need to sharpen more. I use PK Sharpener which has a special section for web sharpening. You could use more USM. However, I am not sure how much as I don't use it. My guess is about 30% or so more, but I am sure others will chime in.
BTW, this is a very large bull. Must have been great to see.
Nice view of these two, agree that a little more room below would be nice. Repost looks better, would suggest toning down the catchlight a little in the bulls eye. He is impressive! TFS

Hi Louis If you sharpen an image properly for the web it will not go soft one you after is posted !!! We do see it often form many photographers.
We have several tutorials on how to downsize and sharpen. The first thing I would look at is how you are saving the image, saving for web and specifying the size (200kb) would be best. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. btw for web presentation you do not have to over sharpen, about the only time you need to do is for printing !!!
... btw Ed's suggestion of using PK is great !!! Fine program and I use it all the time !!!
Looks like a big hulk. :D
The repost is better. It would have been better if there were more space at the bottom. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
I like the sharpened image. Great color of the surrounding vegetation and I also like the interaction.
