    Default Noiseware or Noise Ninja?

I've been a noise ninja user on the Mac, but since the Snow Leopard upgrade, it does not like to work after using the nik plug ins.

I've seen many using noiseware. Is it better? comparable?

I may be thinking of getting it.

The problem I have is that when in PS CS 4, NN works fine if it is the first program you run. However, if you run the nik plug ins such as viveza or color efx etc., and then you want to add NN again, it says not enough memory. I spoke with NN customer service and they advised me that the Nik program causes this issue with NN on Snow Leopard. NN runs fine if I run it as a stand alone out of light room.

    so I'm confused ....

I am extremely happy with noiseware. It does an excellent job without taking away too much detail.

I'm all for Noiseware. Lots more control. Great capture sharpening also.

I just aquired Noiseware Professional and Fabs is right on! Much more control and the sharpening in conjunction with NR is really better than Noise Ninja, although I did not have the pro version of N.N. to really compare. I have reworked a few images with Noiseware and compared them with the N.N. versions and they are much better IMHO!

Topaz DeNoise try the free trial download for Mac. I use it for PC and it is great.

I was a dedicated Noise Ninja user for many years. Lately, I just didn't like the way the noise reduction took away good details. Others were getting better results. I am not sure why it has changed unless I am just getting more picky. Anyway, I tried a trial of Topaz and Noiseware. By far I like the Noiseware Pro. The price is right and, as Fabs has said the control is fantastic. I still haven't learned all the subtle stuff. The default seems to work super on my wife's 7d and my MK4.

So, a strong suggestion for Noiseware Pro.

Does NoiseWare work with Snow Leopard? I looked at the site and it lists compatibility with 10.4x and 10.5x.

Sorry that I got into this so late. Here is something you might all like to review. This YouTube link compares Topaz DeNoise with Noise Ninja, as well as other products. It is such an excellent review, I thought you might enjoy seeing it.
