    Default One More Sandy Hook Sunrise

    Same day as the first below, just a wee bit earlier and a different spot on Chokecherry Beach. I tried to "frame" (not sure that is the right word) the image with a corner anchor - in this case the two rocks in the LR corner. It works for me but not sure if it plays well for others?

    Canon 50D; 24-70 2.8L w/ Vari-ND; tripod

    8.0 sec @ f/22; ISO 100; -1/3 EV

    Hi Ed, Another beautiful sunrise.That long exposure gave a pleasing soft look to the water. The image is composed well however to my eye I would have liked to have seen more of the rocks or none at all.

    Hey Ed,
    Agree about the rocks....definitely prefer the one with them in. Very interesting sky....tough to find strong FG elements here in Jersey!

    I am generally of a different flavor for beachscapes and don't readily need the FG elements. Sand looks to have some good texture and using that and a diagonal tide line would be enough in the FG. Colors are fantastic.
