Default How far can I move a feeder?

I have a feeder setup in the back yard. I would like to move it to the other side of the yard, about 150 ft away. It will be in clear view from the existing location. I am wondering how far I can move it at a time and not confuse the birds. It is winter here and they have become dependent on the feeder and I don't want any to go hungry. Can I move it in one shot? Or should I do several smaller distance moves?

    Any help appreciated!

I'd move it with no worries. Birds are expert foragers for food and they will find it very fast - if not right away.

P.S. Birds, even though they love and frequent them, are less dependant on feeders than we think!:)
