seriously impressive for that ISO on the 7D! lovely portrait, falling snow adds a lot...
I'm wondering if a slight CCW rotation wouldn't improve the composition giving the deer a more upright head posture?

Nice portrait, agree that ccw rotation might be nice here. Am surprised at the broken tines on this young buck, he must have made a mistake and tangled with a mature guy. Detail looks good, can't comment on the 7D iso capabilities and reports are all over the board on that. For my taste it looks fine and totally usable (assuming web version is a reflection on larger file). TFS

ISO 1250 in 7D looks good. Lets see how the Mark IV performs.

I like the falling snow. Agree with the composition.

Great shot Fabs, these furs hide noise very well if this is FF I would even go to 3200 and cover the entire head and neck in dof, eye and horns seem to be in focus neck slightly oof. Beautiful pose and perfect exposure, makes a nice xmass post card!!!

Excellent portrait. The broken antler shows he partied a bit too much during the holidays. high ISO looks great.
