Bald Eagle, Yellowstone area
Leaving Yellowstone, on the way to Livingstone, great area for BEs, we saw quite a few, but this one was quite tolerant of the car, so we worked it from the window for about half an hour, when it decided to go. Some whitewash was removed from rock. 90% of original capture.

I'd take a tad off the top, but otherwise wonderful feather detail and nice exposure.
Loved the pose and the placement of the bird in the frame. But above all else, loved the details in the back. My eyes keep enjoying the patterns there. Very good exposure.
Fabs, you know I love your images and this is no exception, but I wonder if the H/S is a wee bit heavy. The beak looks a bit over done. Could be my monitor. :o
I don't remember using H/S, cousin, maybe the contrast?
Glad to see we are all back on! I was having nightmares last night about having no more BPN. :eek: You and Al had been lost in the Everglades and BPN wouldn't work anymore.

This image has a majestic feel and is beautiful as is....just out of curiosity, if it were mine, I might try getting rid of the dark spot in the BG that intersects with the beak and left shoulder of the bird. Good work, sounds like you had a very cooperative subject and you certainly made something of it.
Gorgeous image, Fabs. The detail on the back (as mentioned above) is just Fabulous (pun intended:)).
I think I see a touch of noise around the beak area, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing. I hope I get this opportunity one day!!!

Well done Fabs. Nice angle, pose and execution. Be careful with the touching up though. I can see some repetitive pattern to the left of the grasses. Thanks for sharing.
Lana, I think it's pretty good, weird AF that would take getting used to (Nikon style) and cleanser ISO than 50D.

Absolutely superb, I love the plumage detail and the pose. There does appear to be a little noise to the left of the bill but I confess I did not notice it until it was mentioned.
I just cannot ever imagine being able to get a shot of an eagle in the UK from a car (unless of course it was captive!)
Like everyone I love the details on the wings and I am with David to take a tad off the top. Now that you mentioned removing whitewash off the rock my eyes keep leading to the section to the left of the bird. Would this be it?

The whitewash was on both sides of the Eagle and removed using the patch tool. It will be revisited :)
