    This photo was taken in Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. Photo was cropped for vertical, otherwise full frame. Corrections in PS for exposure, saturation and sharpening.

    Canon 40D, Canon 500mm f/4 with IS and 1.4mm converter @ f/9, 1/1000, ISO 400.

    Pose, setting and eye contact look good. There are some artifacts around the bird and a S/H halo. I would also give it more room at the bottom for the 'virtual feet'.

    Pose looks good, and the grassy base is nice. I agree for more room below (and at right to keep the same aspect ratio). The post processing looks quite heavy with lots of artefacts, halos.
