Went yesterday afternoon. Pretty slow. Did see flocks of whistling ducks, a bunch of yellow rumped warblers and gnatcatchers in the cypress trees, a nice sized limpkin on the east side of the wetlands who made itself pretty visible perching, a handful of anhinga, egrets, moorhens and coots (you know things are slow when you start photographing the coots), at the end of the afternoon, I did spot a Northern Harrier, image below. The light was poor and I had to use a 2x on the 500. (a 800 with converter would have come in handy here). My image is cropped and had to be focused manually...
Hope things pick up here....
