Ducks, mergansers galore at Viera now. I used a smaller aperture to try and capture the male and female together. That didn't work out too well. I would have liked a softer BG that a wider aperture would have provided. Yes, more room at the right, I can do it but am rushed now.

I'd love to get close enough for worthwhile images of this species!! Good timing on the flap - wings fully outstretched. I'd love a slightly better HA on this one, although with this light angle you'd probably lose some of the green sheen on the face. When you do eventually add space at right I'd also be tempted to crop some off the bottom. I'm wondering if you did some work on the water in front and behind the duck...notice there is no part of the water there that comes into focus?
Susan, Very nice wingflap and details. Agree w/ you about the canvas. A better HA would be nice as Daniel mentioned. I love how you captured the sheen on the head. This is an image I'd love to have in my files.
Wingflap and sharpness look good. The light looks a bit harsh and it would have been even stronger with the sun behind you. Head angle has been mentioned.
