A double-crested cormorant from Anhinga Trail. I am unsure about the crop and so I have also attached the full sized image just in case anyone would like to give their cropping suggestions. Thanks for taking a look. :)

I like the colors, detail, sharpness of you image...your crop with the eye looking directly at the viewer makes it for me..thanks for sharing

Great one, excellent plumage detail, dominant color with the eye standing out really nicely.
If you ask for an alternative crop I might go with a tighter one. I think the frame should be full
of the plumage, with no empty space, and the eye standing out.
    Nice capture.

Beautiful, Amy. I tried a more intimate crop, just an idea.

Thanks Fabs and llija. I was actually thinking about cropping out that extra space but was afraid that much of a crop would cause loss of detail. So that crop is considered within a good limit? Thanks.

    Is synchronicity the word?

I like this image. You must have been very close. The green eye surrounded by brown plumage is very effective. I like the tighter crops suggested above.

Ilja and Fabs have articulated and illustrated my feelings already. Maybe a touch more constrast?

Fabs nailed the comp here for me. This image is stunning, lovely eye contact and detail on the feathers.
Out of the top drawer! Well done.

Stunning, Amy. The detail in the feathers and the comp make this one a winner.

Unusual but great . I like the first crop, just the right amount of "intimacy"
