    Somewhat resembling red-hot pokers this fungal specimen is found in rainforests.

    Canon EOS 3, Canon 100mm macro, ISO 100, Flash x2 (under heavy canopy), F16, Tripod.
    the fertile tissue is represented by the hot-pink area and the darker stem below is non-fertile.

    Cool image John, very interesting, this fungi looks like Gummy worms, a candy sold here in the US.

    The Fungi has a nice transulcent quality.

    Nice image John. These thin fungi are difficult to frame. The outward bowing of the stems fills the frame nicely.
