This is from yesterday at Barnegat where I got to meet Grace and Ted Scalzo for the first time and Lou and his wife. Even though it was windy it was warm for a change.
I especially like the pose as it shows why they are called Long tails.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 300-800 at 406mm for 1/3200 sec. at f7.1 and ISO 800 all tripod mounted w/ wimberly head. Cropped all around to a Roman crop!

Sweet !! Good to see you as always. Fun place. It was pretty awful this AM so we opted to sleep late and then head back to LI

Roman, Nice pose and I love the tail hanging down. I also love seeing the feet. Glad to see you had a good day!

Roman, good landing pose, and I like the detail on the far wing. Well captured.

What a nice landing pose on this beautiful duck. Nice and sharp and the eye looks so good with that little catchlight. An unexpected pleasure from our outing to Barnegat was meeting Roman and Dave Mills, who kindly allowed me to share his rock. :)
