Default Orange Headed Thrush : Khao Yai, Thailand

From one end of the scale I bring you to the other where I had to push the limits again.
This was taken from a ground hide under full canopy cover of the jungle in failing light. No fill in flash was used as the bird was very skittish.

Very nice looking bird. Like the pose, detail and exposure. I think you need to do some noise reduction on the background at ISO 2000 and maybe clean up the beak.

What a gorgeous bird Phil and superb eye contact. Excellent color and detail too. I would be tempted to add a little more canvas on the bottom. This is a beautiful species and many thanks for sharing.

I like the contrasting colours of the thrush, and you did well with that slow ss. I agree to run some NR on the BG, and I would leave only one of the catchlights in the eye.

Super effort here, and well done on pushing the boundries! I would also do some NR on the BG, and agree with Stuart on leaving only 1 catchlight. Well done on getting a sharp image at 1/20s.
