You can drive past these guys at full speed, and they dont flinch. Try and drive up slowly to them to capture a shot - they fly into the sunset. These Steppe Buzzards are in plenty sitting on fence posts alongside the road looking for their next meal. I realise the perch is not ideal, but since I dont have many raptors in my files, Im taking this. Cloned out the barbed wire attached to the pole. The BG is OOF grasslands.

Like the head angle & staring eye. Well exposed with good pose, detail, colours & BG. Well done!

Good sharpness, eye contact and BG. The perch may not be ideal but it's what the bird picked. :)

    HI Stu
Kick-butt eye! Love it, an yes, they are very unaccommodating. The Black Shouldered Kites to the same! Have tired some of the PP work, but have to practice a lot, thanks

These birds do tend to frustrate you when you try get shots of them. Super image here Stuart, like the BG and pose. Although the perch is a bit unnatural, doesnt bother me.

This is a sweet image, I don't mind the perch, love the BG details and colors. Perches like these have become a part of habitat for these birds despite being man-made, it doesn't take away from a nice portrait IMO.
