    Default Boreal Owl

I posted this in Avian last week, background was bad..but thats where these Owls live..I decided to change the background. Remove everything from image but Owl and perch, copied and pasted it into a snow scene, I'd posted a few themes ago.... used fotosketcher to draw it, colored pencil effect..this was the result.
I think the colors of the Owl match the backgound nicely.

I always wished I could paint..this really is the closest thing for me..

    Thanks for viewing

Fantastic Paul! Great looking sketch/painted look. You have inspired me to try this technique. I think your extraction work looks very natural. I love that fence!

    Paul:

    I agree with Denise

I think you took a great photo of the little owl and artistically came up with as you said, "I wish I could paint like that." Me too.

Thanks for sharing your top notch painting.

Excellent composition, Paul. This has come out really well with the sketch effect. The bg is very nice. For me, this is one of your best!
