I started out with an image of a snowy egret and his reflection. I used fract. B&W01, then an old photo effect,
added my chop. I wanted to create something very simple without a lot of color.

Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions welcome:)

Beautiful composition, Cheryl. I love the canvas texture and the ripple effect. I think this may work even better if you added lot more canvas on top like a scroll and let the ripple move outwards. Beautiful colors.

Cheryl, This has an almost linen look to it. I think Indranil's idea to add canvas would look good. The reflection looks good also. Love your chop-very fancy!

Indranil and Denise, thanks for the comments. I wanted to do this as a scroll and I worked on it all afternoon starting
from the base image. I never really got what I wanted (although I liked the calligraphy which I painted (it means "peaceful reflection") so I posted the
    first one instead.

I prefer the second post Cheryl. Nice balance and calligraphy. I haven't tried painting calligraphy but I know it isn't easy! I do wish the your chop was a brighter crimson red. Nice work!
