First- let me say that I love the MKIV. I've had terrible weather since it came in so I don't have any shots that show what the camera does in "normal" light. On a side note, neither my 1DMK3 or 1DMK4 like the 800 f5.6. On the other hand, the 1DsMK3 loves it. By that I mean that the images from it are great with the latter and fuzzy with the former two cameras. Onward through the fog

This was shot from a tripod using ISO 12800. I tried H3 mode earlier and I have to say that in my opinion it's pretty much worthless. Maybe if someone attacks you in the dark and you want to get a shot of them before you croak it's got some use. Maybe.

    70-200 f2.8L IS @ 200mm on a tripod

    ISO 12,800
    3/10s @ f2.8

I also shot this handheld and the image was usable.

Pretty good results considering HH at ISO 12,800. Remember when ASA 400 film was fast but grainy!!;)

I'm impressed. I may have been too quick to beat up on H1 - H3. I may have underexposed and we all know what underexposure does for noise. I may play some more :)

Last one. Same shot with Noiseware Pro (Night Scene default). Not great but certainly not bad considering it's ISO 102,400
