From my first outing with the Mk4, one of the first images made. A few minutes after first light a stork landed on the stump and cooperated for a few frames. btw so far the Mk4 has been performing well in all aspects particularly with the af !!!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

    Alfred:

You and Fabs have been making good use of this stump.

Another nice one. Nice bands of color in background. Might be tempted to clean up the white wash, and tone down the eye flash reflection just a bit. Could consider a version with most of the stump in RLC cropped out as well.

Looks like the MK4 is going to be a winner.

    Cheers

    Randy

I'm not liking the eye reflection either.

Otherwise, it's a very fine image Alfred. I love that background.

Great background Alfred. Agree on the eye reflection and right lower corner stuff. Did you use flash with BB? I might have gone down a third if so.

Glad to see the Mark IV is performing well!

I like the way you used the flash here. The white bird pops up nicely against the great colors of the BG.
I like the overall color comp here a lot. Very nice.
One more vote for darkening the eye.

Superb background colors Alfred and very good comp. I agree with the others about the eye flash reflection. I'm curious too if you had use BB on flash.

The eye reflection does not do justice to an otherwise lovely image. The colours the feel is awesome !!

Colors , comp , and exposure all work together in this fine image. One more vote for fixing the eye.

Hi Alfred, This is very nice as I think it captures the predawn mood. I really like the banded background and colors. I like the perch and bird's placement in frame. I think the image has a real sense of depth with bird and perch in the foreground and the out of focus vegetation in the background. Eye mentioned. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely composition. Can something be done to remove the flash reflection from its eye ?

Just lovely overall, Alfred. :) Nits mentioned, not that I can talk. I would consider a crop thru the OOF leaves behind him, to place him more on 1/5. but that is my personal taste.

Good to hear the MK4 performing well so far. Like the image here, good use of flash and super BG. Only thing distracting me is the eye.
