    I find the Herons and the FG a bit blueish

    This is one of those shots where if you use a greater focal length either by teleconverter or lens you could get the BG to blur out a lot nicer and thereby give you more separation between it and the birds, which would then give them a whole lot more power. Or use f/4 but I'm not sure how much effect that would yield. Did you crop this? And where was it taken?

    Nice action here, thus a higher shutter speed would have yielded the landing bird sharper.

    I would love to have an opportunity like this.... one day;)

    Some nice action Stuart and lovely lighting on the GBH's neck but it does appear to have a slight blue cast on my monitor. IMO I probably would exclude the second heron if you were not able to capture all of it and just have an image of the one GBH coming in with a stick. Many thanks for sharing.
