This is one of those rare images that I could actually see where I would put my chop etc as I was composing the shot! The branch was there so all I had to do was wait for the duck to swim into the foggy scene (on my belly of course!). I produced twp dupe layers, one converted to BW, the other I ran topaz clean2 and then erased down thru both layers to the duck and one layer to the fall leaf. That's it. C&C welcome.

PS. I may want to reduce the size of the chop/calligraphy!

Very cool Dan! I do find that one larger yellowish leaf distracting, and I'd vote for eviction. Good work. regards~Bill

Dan, This has a very tranquil feel to it. I love the female of this species. I vote to evict the yellow leaf also. Nice soft branch to go w/ the feel. Very nicely done.

So soft and muted yet there is still color there! I, too, would lose the big leaf but keep the smaller ones as a counter balance to the colors on the duck. Beautiful image...so serene and peaceful.

wonderful! I'm going to go against the grain here and vote for leaving the yellow leaf in.. it pulls my eye upward and adds a sense of balance to the overall comp for me. The neutral tones really work so well here Doug, fantastic rendering :)

Thanks Cindy! I thought the same about the fall leaf. I also was seeing the last moment of fall before the long winter ahead for Ms. Woody!:)
