What does ''yellow dot'' means?

Hello everybody

I have been reading lately that some people here are selling their MKIII and they state that it is a ''yellow dot'', can some one please be specific about the meaning of that. Is there any ''red dot''? and ''green dot''?

Hi Juan Carlos It only refers to the time the camera was made to keep up with changes. I think the yellow dot is one of the last !! I did found it odd when that was started !!

I think there was also a blue dot. Everyone who bought the camera early had to send it in twice to get all fixes.

Mine came with no dot and I had to send it in for the AF fix.
