    It is now just over a year since I first picked up a DSLR camera and made the jump from 'point-and-shoot' to photography proper. I have learnt an awful lot from so many people, and also from the critique and educational resources here on BPN.

    Here is one of the first photos I took (an ostrich), when I still tried to figure out fancy words like 'aperture'. I have reworked it tonight - this was still shot in JPG when RAW was an unfamiliar term. :eek:

    Hey Mork, you certainly knew where to focus in those days - great eye. I saw so many ostriches these holidays, and guess what, I didnt take a single shot.

    Interesting perspective, I think it may work better with less room on left. Good to try to get out of the box :)
