    Here's a close up of this bird. Mid-day sun that was a little harsh but has its benefits in bringing the sheen of the feathers out.

    Good head angle, eye contact and BG. The eye looks a little less sharp than the rest and I might remove the little second catchlight.

    I really like the subtle detail in the bill. It might be interesting to try a composition with a bit more of the neck included, if you have it.

    nice BG and comp, a little selective sharpening of the eye should really finish it off.
