    Default Landscape lens

I'm looking for a prime landscape lens fro my FF Canon. Something with excellent corner to corner sharpness.

    1. I waited for a year for for the Zeiss 21 ZE mount. I don't want to offend owners of this lens but personally I am a
little disappointed. I just can't get past the distortion (which is not really bad) for it's price.

    2. I took a look at the new Canon TSE lenses. Although I do use a tripod by nature I'm not that big of a tinkerer and
it is a lens you have to be patient to work with. I'm concerned that the novelty will wear of and it will sit more
on a shelf than on the camera.

Both are no out of the running but I'm looking at other lenses. I don't know much about what is out there so I was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions. Somewhere between 21 and 24mm

    Thanks in advance.

You can shoot the lens straight you do not have to use the tilt and shift if you do not want to.

I recently used the 24 TS-E II heavily on a landscape shoot through Death Valley and Lone Pine. What an absolutely stellar lens. Its true that you don't have to use the tilt or shift if you don't want to, but whats great is that even if you do you get fantastic results. With the LCD on the 5D2, tilting and shifting is so much easier too. I had a lot of fun with this combo.

Keep it simple. Go for a Canon 17-40 F4 is my advise for whats its worth.
