Eagle flyby

Was out taking eagle pictures on the Mississippi River and all the birds were fishing way out there and all of a sudden this bird soared right above us and I was fortunate enough to grab a few keepers.

Nice diagonal pose, great sharpness and background. The shadow across the neck/body is a little distracting. I like portraits so if I were going to clip wings, I might crop tighter.

The eagles are down in numbers all along the Mississippi River this year. We are hoping things will pick up soon.
