I know that Asian week was one of his favorites and so is Fractalius. Just wanted him to know I was thinking of him.
The words are my name in Chinese. I drew them as best as I could. I de-saturated this and added a photo filter as well.

Dave Phillips has been ill. I am sure he will be on the road to a speedy recovery. He is having some heart troubles and wishes to keep this low key. I am sure that posting get-well cards would be fine. He has been a great inspiration for us all and I can't wait for his return to OOTB.

This is lovely Denise and I think Dave would like it too. I think you have created a new chop just for this, and again your lovely soft style.
I think we all know how big a part Dave has been on OOTB; instrumental with his superlative skills and seeming to master them effortlessly, and always taking time to give thoughtful critiques. I hope you will keep Dave in your prayers to help him through this difficult time. Denise, I am sure will keep us updated.

Lovely image and I love the 'muted' plum colors (for lack of a better description!) The highlights created with the fractalius are just perfect. And, what a nice thought to create this for someone special. Prayers for Dave.

Denise - I don't think you could have created anything that Dave would like more:) I think these images
will be an inspiration to him as he is to us and I know we all can hardly wait to have him back.

Dave, take care, we all miss you:)

Beautiful image, Denise - the quality and tone of the colors are amazing - you sure get some unbelievable stuff out of that Fract plug-in!

Dave, I've been praying for you all day - you get well and get back here! (Oh, and welcome to the heart club! I've had non-ischemic cardiomyopathy for five years now - was actually in heart failure when they figured it out - and I'm still rocking and rolling!) Do what the doctors tell you and you'll be shooting up a storm before you know it.
