Default Not so common House Sparrow.

    Hey everybody,
These used to be permanent residents of my hometown, but now-a-days due to all the pollution these guys have become a rare find.:(
    Details: Aperture Priority, F6.7, ISO-400, 500mm, 1/250 sec, -1/3 Ex, Handheld.
looking forward to your suggestions on how to improve this image further,
    regards,
    Kaustubh.

    Hi Kaustubh

I like it a lot, good pose, beautiful bg and razor sharp !! Can tweak the image by working on the gray mixed into the bg by the perch and the large diffused dark area toward the top right !!! Appealing and like it a lot !!!

Nice portrait of this little guy, who is still very common around here, but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them! Great identifying features on him. Might just be my screen, or jpeg compression, but there seems to be a little posterization in the upper right corner. :o

    Hi Kaustubh,
I like the composition, image and capture...you have a good head angle with sharp eye contact. The color rendition is good and I like the feather details...I agree with Mr. Forns on the perch and the dark OOF blotch on the upper right side corner of the frame...looking forward to your next one...

hi - all good advice above - like the image - things must be bad if these guys are disappearing.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

I like the repost - these guys are everywhere around us.

They're a pretty sparrow but very aggressive. They kicked a family of Tree Swallows out of one of our houses last year and killed a clutch of Eastern Bluebird babies in order to take over their house.
