    Hi Don, Nice color and well handled exposure. Would like to have seen a bit more interest in the mountains as opposed to a band of rock. It would have given the image more impact.
    I also realise when you see a sunset like this your not always in an ideal spot...

    There's a bit of magenta cast on the rocks.

    Don,

    If you where going for a hyper-realistic look, this is really cool. I agree with the above for a more traditional look, but I like how you did this. Looks like another planet.

    I think the foreground works good shaped in an arc in what looks like a lava flow (I know it is not). The sunset bright and warm is in stark contrast to the dark forbidding FG.

    Hey Don,
    Agree with the advice given above for a more realistic look but also agree with Robert that this has a pretty cool moonscape look also! My only suggestion is to next time try and get the top central cloud entirely in.....perhaps a few steps back since you were at 70mm already.
